Tockwith Cyclists Service 8 December 2019 – Car Assisted Ride

Sunday Ride 8 December 2019

As a Christmas Gift from your Sunday Rides team, we are offering an Easy Ride, with NO HILLS.

The ride is from Tadcaster to the Cyclists Service at Tockwith Church. The total ride out and return distance is 23 miles and is COMPLETELY FLAT.  Before the service we will enjoy the legendary and reasonably priced catering provided by the Tockwith Under 5’s Group at Tockwith Village Hall; we then walk across the road to the church for the  45 minute Cyclists Service and return for more food (if you can cope with this) before returning to Tadcaster.

The outward ride is mainly along quiet country roads with opportunities for sightseeing at the several  pretty villages en route and includes a visit to the historic Civil War memorial (Battle of Marston Moor 1644). The ride is an ideal opportunity to bring a friend or partner or child (or all three), with the promise of good company and NO HILLS.

If you are able to offer transport for someone who needs it, or are in need of transport yourself to get to the start at Tadcaster, can you please let Reid Anderson know as soon as possible so we can sort this out.

Meet Bethel Street Car Park Brighouse at 8.45 hrs prior to departure for Tadcaster. The ride itself will begin from the riverside car park in Tadcaster (right turn immediately after crossing bridge, adjoins bus station) at 1015 hrs. For those going directly to Tadcaster, there are toilets available at the start (20p – sorry) and there is a Costa (opens 9.00hrs ) back across the other side of the bridge.

Please let Reid Anderson know if you want any more information about what we hope will be a most enjoyable ride.
