SUMMARY:Short Mothering Sunday Ride (24 miles)
DESCRIPTION:A short 24 mile Mothering Sunday ride in place of the advertised Ilkley ride (to be cancelled) so that we can work up an appetite for our Sunday lunch. Not terribly hilly (but one cannot escape the hills in Calderdale)\, more of gradual climbs with the last 4 miles mainly downhill all the way. Average speed 9-10 mph. We wait and no one gets left behind. Halfway coffee stop at the High Street Cafe\, Queensbury. There is plenty of car parking space at the start. \nWith 1200 metres of climbing and 1.25 Audax Altitude points\, this ride covers quite a bit of hilly terrain\, but to make up for it\, there is a generous time allowance for completion.
